Powerlifting is the strength sport that demonstrates the maximum weight that you can lift in the three big lifts; Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift. Powerlifting is an intense sport that has a friendly and tight knit community. It is a great way to get stronger, add muscle, and preform better at sports that require strength.

I have trained many athletes in this sport and coached them at their competitions. In the past year I have trained 3 state record holders and many 1st place winners.

My History Competing in Powerlifting: (bold this text please)

In my first year of High School I beat all of the weightlifting records at my school. I continued on to compete in professional powerlifting meets, winning 1st place in my first competition and setting state records shortly thereafter.

When I was 17 I set a Teenage World Record in Deadlift. The feeling of accomplishment was one of the best I had experienced in my life.

In my Junior year I transferred to a new school. I noticed that in the weight room there were signs on the wall entitled the 300 lbs club and a 400 lbs club, listing the names of those who had lifted in these ranges for any of the core lifts (Squat, Bench Press, or Deadlift). I was the one to start the 500 lbs club.

In my last year of High School and first year of college I competed in the Jr. Olympics, winning the silver medal in my first year and returning for the gold medal in my second year. This was a great opportunity to meet new lifters and travel around the USA. In College I continued to compete and was the head of the Powerlifting team.

My Powerlifting career lasted nearly 10 years and has brought me many happy memories. Today my training has shifted but I continue to train other men and women in this sport. If you would like to train for power please contact me!
